Love-ely Biscuits and Lots Of Glitter!

A little while ago I made these glittery little cuties as a present for some friends who had just got married and I thought they were too sparkly not to share!

I used my basic sugar cookie recipe, which you can find here:

I then rolled and cut out all the appropriate icing, using the same cutter that I had used for the biscuits.

I then covered the top of the heart in a tiny bit of glycerine (sugar syrup) and liberally applied the edible glitter! My favourite bit!

This edible 'rainbow glitter' is my absolute favourite thing to use when it comes to cake/biscuit decoration. I will sprinkle it on just about anything I make and I am slowly building up a collection of as many colours as I can possibly get my hands on!

Let me know if you give this a try or love 'rainbow glitter' as much as me! :)

Thank you for reading :)

Favorite Things

So recently I've been loving:

Yorkshire tea. It is very well know in my house that I find it incredibly difficult to function in the mornings without the help of a cup of tea to drag me out of bed. I am however a massive tea snob and I like to stick to my very favorite tea, Yorkshire!

I recently tested the theory that it is the superior tea by slipping a Yorkshire tea bag into my cup for the morning brew round at work, the difference between this and the normal stuff we have was amazing!

Other Tea: Since my absolute love affair with peppermint tea started a few months ago I have been tempted to dip my toe into the world of other herbal teas. I am not a huge fan of 'sweet teas' or sweet things Iin general so I have avoided these in the past but i have found some great ones recently that I am really loving. There included the Twinnings Detox tea, Lemon and Ginger tea and Chamomile and Honey Tea. Depending on how I'm feeling I drink these at different times of the day, the Detox one is great to keep me going mid-morning and the chamomile one is brilliant just beofre bed time.

Nude Nails: I'm obsessed at the moment with nude nail varnish, The one I have been using and loving for the last couple of months is the Seventeen Gel colour in Mocha-tini. I wear it every day and the colour goes with absolutely everything, it looks great with a tan too, so perfect for this time of year! But my very favorite thing with this one is that the gel formula means it's incredibly hard to chip, brilliant beauty for us lazy girls!

Tweezerman Tweezers. I have been in desperate need of a decent pair of tweezers for absolutely ages, and I finally got around to buying another pair on Saturday.Because I don't get to the beauticians that often to get my brows waxed I decided to push the boat out a little bit and get some decent ones, that will do the job well in between .  I love tweezerman tweezers, and have lost sever pairs over the past few years. I couldn't quite justify the most expensive pair (£30:00) I went for the £21.00 ones and it was a great decision. It may have become apparent by now that I am quiet lazy when it comes to beauty and anything that can cut down the time of my beauty regime I am definitely interested in. I tested these out last night and had my brows back to an acceptable level of bushiness within 10 minutes, Ideal! :)

Frozen: I started watching this on Saturday night, but unfortunately it only survived 20 minutes beofre it stopped working :( I have been wanting to see this film ever since it came out and my post hangover self found it very difficult to cope with. From the first 20 minutes it looked amazing! I am a huge huge fan of a Disney film and desperate to see the end of this now. So yesterday I caved and treated myself to the DVD! I watched it last night, and  its so so lovely! Especially big fan of the reindeer Sven! :)

I'd love to hear about what you have been loving lately!

Thank you for reading :)

Favorite Things

Another post about all the things I have really been loving latley..admitedly this one is all about beauty products (sort of) but iv been having a bit of a shake up in terms of my beauty regime recently so that could have a lot to do with it!

Less make up -
I don't really like spending a lot of time getting ready or doing my make-up. I love spending ages on things like that for a night out or a special event or something but day-to-day I really can't be bothered I'm quite lazy in that sense, and I'd much rather be getting on with other things. So anything I can do to cut down on this time I am defiantly willing to consider

I'm trying a new daily make-up routing witch involves wearing a lot lot less make-up. I'm just using the basics: Foundation, blusher, bronzer(sometimes), eyeliner and mascara! It saves me loads of time, my skin is so much better already and my boyfriend absolutley loves it!...Winning! :)

Epaderm-
I have very sensitive combination skin, it's really dry in places, but can also get a little bit oily around my t-zone. I'm also occasionally prone to little breakouts. So I'm really cautious about what I use on my skin. I don't really like all these fancy products in pretty packaging, as they are usually really overpriced, quite gimmicky and the perfumes and chemicals in them are really bad for my skin.

Instead I'm a big fan of E45 cream for moisturizer and Sudocrem whenever I have a break-out. Recently my mum bought us a new product and it is amazing! Its for dry skin and everything else on top. It works as a face/body wash and also as a moisturizer. My skin has never felt better! :)

Bed Head colour goddess miracle treatment mask -
So as well as getting my skin in tip top condition I thought it was only fair that I give my hair the same attention. I have some blond running through it and to stop it going brassy, as well as restore the condition of my hair my sister (also my hairdresser) recommended that I try the Bed Head colour goddess miracle treatment mask. I probably use this a couple of times a week and leave it on my hair for about 10 minutes. It is amazing, my hair is lovely and soft and my ends are so much less dry. The best bit about it though, has to be the smell, It's amazing. Like toffee ice cream or caramel! :)

Lady million -
so just incase it wasnt already realy obvious im a complete looser and yes I have just bought the girl version of my boyfrinds...man perfume!? But before you judge me completely hear me out. My last really nice bottle ran out last week and I desparatly needed a replacement in time for the weekend. I was ordering online from next, as I didn't have time to get to the shops and they have an amazing next day delivery service! I didn't want to buy one I had never smelt before as im a bit fussy when it comes to perfume! I love love love my boyfrinds version and have been known to borrow it on occasion, so I thought it was a safer bet....Well it arrived bang on time and I absolutly love it! ...Plus im pretty sure that 'matching' perfumes are designed to compliment each other! so actually yeah go ahead and judge me, im one of those 'matching perfume couples' and I bloody love it! :)

what are you loving right now!? :)

Favorite Things

I thought it was about time I did another one of these posts, seen as tho my list of current obsessions is growing by the day. I thought id best get some posted before they build up too much! :)

Fruit & Veg...pretty much the only thing I'm allowed to eat at the moment, so I'm learning to love it!. Due to me being ill and all the ridiculously strong anti-antibiotics wiping out my immune system, my dad has intervened and put me on a super healthy diet...all fruit, veg, lots of water! and no nasty processed foods! They want me to stop drinking alcohol, and my mum is trying to get me an appointment with a dietitian ...wish me luck! :)
(Although this is the easy bit..next it's attempting to get my fitness back up to where it was before!)

Peppermint Tea! This was recommended to me because of my diverticulitis and other stomach paines (all due to my gluten intolerance) Well i tried it and I'm a massive convert! I'm completely hooked. It tastes amazing, it stops me feeling sick or nauseous and really helps with my diverticulitis! I usually start my day with this now, but it's also great at night as it relaxes me and helps me get a really good nights sleep. The benefits of this lovely tea are endless and I can't recommend it enough! :)

Days of the week underwear. I loved, loved, loved these when I was little and was always disappointed that I couldn't get any to fit me when I got older. Until H&M, the fashionable little geniuses saved the day! and made some! I am now the very happy owner of a full set of day's of the week pants! :)

My new black blazer. Me and my mum and sister has a bit of a girly day this week, we went for food and drinks and a little bit of shopping. Since it was so close to the end of the month my mum decided to treat us even more, and I am now the proud owner of yet another beautiful Topshop blazer. (all black of course) I am obsessed with jackets and coats! for other people it's usually shoes or even bags, but for me it's got to be jackets/coats! In my opinion you can never have too many...I've defiantly got this obsession off my dad, who has a coat collection to rival everyone I know! and something that I am massively envious of (I'v had my eye on his belstaf for a very long time now!)

'Granddad Bear' This old chap has been my grandma and grandads since before i was born. When we were little me and my sister were fasignated by him...he could talk! Sadly his batteries have long since gone but the memories are still there.after having a dream about him the other day I made it my mission to track him down whilst we were clearing some more of my grandparents house, and bring him home! :)

What have you been loving latley!? :)

Favorite things no.6

Its been a couple of weeks since i did one of these and as a result, there is a pretty substantial list of things I'm loving right now...since iv given up spending money on new clothes this month there is definitely an increase in the amount of make-up/beauty products I'm buying/loving! but this is a messily neglected part of my life so maybe its time i gave my beauty routine a bit of care and attention!..and a much needed shake up!

-I decided that it was about time i treated myself to some proper make-up! or more specifically some proper primers etc! I dunno what it is about my skin but by about half way through the day the foundation on my cheeks goes really patchy and blotchy! no matter which foundation i use it never wants to stay put. Iv tried a few different primers in the past and nothing ever seems to work! I'm completely sick of spending good money on decent make-up only for it to have no effect! Id heard a lot of good things about Mac's fix plus and my sister raves about it, so i decided to invest. I got the fix plus primer, the fixing powder and the fixing spray...as well as a cheeky highlighter which i love! well so far so good, it seems to be working and i am one incredibly chuffed and blotch free customer, definitely an investment worth making! :)

-The next product is one that i have been desperate to try for a long time and just never gotten around too. But finally I have invested (and i say invested as a little bottle of this stuff is around £15) in some Bio Oil. I have a few scars/burns...they are not huge but they are on my hands so i notice them constantly and they bother me a bit, so i really wanted to see if i could make them fade a little bit at least! To my pleasant surprise i found out that it is also perfect for evening out redness and and ideal for using on your face, something that i do have a problem with! so this lovely little product has become an essential part of my night time routine..It smells amazing too! :)

-I ran out of perfume just before my trip away so I took advantage of duty free and treated myself to a big bottle of my favorite stuff, Sensuous Noire by Estee  Lauder. I'm a huge huge fan of perfume! and I definitely know what I like. I have a small selection of favorites and although I try new ones I always tend to end up back with these. Pure Poison by Dior, Estee Lauder Sensuous Noir, Estee Lauder Sensuous Nude and for my everyday budget buy I am absolutely obsessed with The Body Shop's White Musk.

- Now i feel like we are getting a bit make-up/product heavy for my liking, so time for a massive change of direction! My absolute favorite thing from this week was going to see Dr Feelgood with my dad and my boyfriend at the Holmfirth Picturedrome. My dad had to go to Africa with work and no-one was really that thrilled about it! So he booked this for us all to do as a little treat/something to look forward to  for when he got back! We had an absolutely brilliant time, I love love LOVE live music!..

and as an extra little bonus, this special little guy made it back from Ghana with him too! :)

what have you been loving/loving doing this week!?
