january detox time

I made a promise to myself and also accidental out loud to some people when I was possibly (definitely) hungover, that I would go on a detox in January to give my body a break from all the crap....(mainly alcohol) that iv been filling it with to excess in the last few months

My main reasons for this 'drastic' action being taken!?

- im a bit sick of being hungover (every) weekend
-I never want to be sick out of my bedroom window/wake up with sick in my hair (this was a one time thing!) Ever again!
-im pretty upset with how noticeably horrible my skin has gotten recently; spots, puffiness, dark circles :(
-when drunk I usually think its a great idea to eat all sorts of crap im allergic too (I have a gluten/wheat allergy) so as if a hangover wasn't enough I get to feel like iv done 10 rounds with Tyson and iv got a stomach ache too !
-its annoying how much my tolerance to alcohol has gone up...no longer such a light weight means expensive nights out!
-id quite like to be able to do a lot more climbing mountains and actual climbing this year and id quite like to do it without being too much of a sweaty horrible mess!
-my mum has started texting me half way through my nights out reminding me to please think about my poor liver.

The plan:

Replace Alcohol with water....lots and lots of water!! This seems pretty straight forward So far.water is really really good for you and Alcohol is really not! Simple in theory.in practice, Probably not !

Also lots of green tea because Apparently it has super powers! and I think its quite nice

Any excersize is also pretty Obvious! Sweating helps get rid of nasty Toxins much quicker too !So after a little bit of a break over Christmas it's time to fight my way through the crowds back to the treadmill.

no more processed food and definitely no more gluten for me! I may even attempt the odd Super Smoothie, but lets not get too Carried away here!

considering today is the 4Th of January I am well aware that I may be 4 days or so out with this routine, however in my defence i have had a bit of a rough week! l start Monday with the hopefully achievable goal of 2 weeks!....yeah this is not very long but hey it is a gesture of good will to my liver! :)

Wish me luck!

Xxx
