My Blog Is 1 year old Today!

I cannot believe how quickly a year has gone! and today marks exactly one year since I posed my first 'Dirty Feet' post. You can read my first post Here

I had been wanted to start a blog for ages, and I did have one during my placement year at uni, but that was linked to my own business and was called KatieKatie. Final year soon put a stop to my business blogging but I new I wanted to start one again for me, for ages!

I finally decided to give it a go in the summer after graduating, I needed something fun and creative to focus on and I had lots of extra time to spend on it at first.

I was not great at posting to begin with, I new I wanted to do a lifestyle blog, (I was so inspired by my favorite blog: The Londoner) but I was still figuring out exactly what I wanted to include in my blog and the kinds of features I wanted to have etc.

It took me a long time to build up my confidence with blogging and the first few posts I published I asked my friends to read and scrutinize so much before I put them out there, and even then I was still really really nervous.

As my confidence grew so did the number of posts and regular features I included. Now I post pretty much every day, not because I feel I have to but because I have so many Ideas, and  I can't weight to put them out there! (although I would never post for the sake of posting and often leave a post for a day if i don't feel good about it) I have watched my followers grow from nothing to well over 200 and I am always so excited to get a new one! I love it when friends and family tell me that that they have read my blog and I love getting comments from other bloggers!

My blog is tiny in comparison to most but blogging has become such a huge part of my life and something that I really really enjoy and although I have so many more ideas for the future I hope that I continue to blog and love blogging  for a very long time to come.

So a huge, huge, massive thank you to everyone who reads and follows my blog. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
