Considering that I hate scary films and anything scary with an absolute passion I still absolutely love Halloween.
When we were little my mum made me and my friend matching witches capes, they were covered in purple, yellow and red felt cats and bats and our names were written across the bottom of them in big glittery letters. She made smaller ones without the glitter for our little sisters and we all went trick or treating!
I remember missing it one year because we were driving back from visiting family in Newcastle, we saw all the kids in fancy dress with their parents and I cried all the way home because I couldn't join in.
Now that I'm older it gets harder and harder to celebrate Halloween but I still insist on carving a pumpkin and getting sweets in. I even have a favourite Halloween film I love to watch; Casper the friendly ghost!
This year I am actually celebrating a little bit more traditionally. I am donning some cat ears and heading out for a few drinks with friends!
What are your Halloween plans?
Thank you for reading :)
