For about 5 years now me and my mum have been saying how lovely it would be to make it to Chatsworth house in Derbyshire (one of my very Favorited places) at Christmas time. They decorate the big house ready for Christmas and there is a big Christmas market in the grounds.
This time of the year always seems to be the busiest and before you know it you have run out of weekends before Christmas to do anything else. This year with the help of my friend we made a plan and actually made it to Chatsworth.
We set off bright and early, unfortunately we got lost a couple of times on the way. By the time we made it to Derbyshire so had everyone else and we had to que down country lanes for about half an hour.
We finally arrived at about 11:30 and joined another que to get into the house. This years theme was Alice In Wonderland and you follow her on her adventure through the house and out into the gardens.
We came out feeling very Christmas-y and headed off for lunch and lots of mulled wine and cider at the Christmas market.
The whole day was so lovely, I definitely came home feeling so Christmas-y and with one month today until Christmas eve I am more than ready to make a start on my Christmas shopping! :)
