This weekend decided to kick off the festive season a couple of days early!
This weekend was the festival of lights in Huddersfield.
The festival has been happening every year at this time for a long time now. Streets are closed, there are lots of light displays, a food market and lots of local business get involved. There was an outside showing of Frozen sing along (which i unfortunately missed!)
It's a great excuse to drink lots of mulled wine and cider, listen to a brass band and watch as all of the lovely old buildings in Huddersfield's St George's square are lit up.
The whole things was finished off with a fireworks display which I loved as I completely managed to miss any fireworks on bonfire night this year.

I am in full blown festive mode now, this is defiantly my most favorite time of the whole year! :)
