Little Girls With Big Dreams...

Ever since I was a little girl it has been my dream in life to own my own business. Even before I knew what Industry I wanted to work in, one thing was certain, at some point I wanted to work for myself.

I chose to pursued my passion for creativity and fashion at collage and university because I believed that this was an industry that would allow me the flexibility to be able to run my own business one day. Whilst I was at University I shied away from the traditional industrial placement year in favour of my University's Enterprise Placement Year (EPY) this allowed me the opportunity to create my own business and complete a short business course.

After gradation I worked for a local company. A year and a bit of working in an office environment and a few unpleasant experiences only gave me more proof and determination to achieve my dreams. I left my job and immediately started working towards my goal.

This week has been a HUGE week for me as after a few months of planning and a lot of sleepless nights. Me and my mum have completed a deal on our very own business!! We are now the very proud (slightly shell-shocked) owners of our very own Village Cafe!!

We decided that a Cafe was the right business for us over a period of a several years. Cooking has always been our passion and our hobby, My favourite thing has always been to cook for my family and friends and have huge family gatherings. For both of us this is the ultimate opportunity to turn our passion into our business and I feel so incredibly privileged!

It has been a bit of a whirlwind and the last two weeks working in the business have been so surreal, but I am so incredibly happy and grateful and ready for the new challenge ahead!

There will be a Cafe blog all about our adventures as soon as possible, I promise! We just might need a little bit if time to find our feet first.

In the mean time thank you very much for reading :)
