A Big Celebration At A Lovely Little Pub

This Saturday night was so lovely because I got to spend it with some of my favourite people in one of my favourite places, and there was amazing food and drinks involved!

We went to The Woodman in Thunderbridge for my sisters belated 21st family birthday celebrations.

The Woodman is a lovely traditional Yorkshire country pub, (you can have a little look at their site here!)

They have a lovely traditional menu with a bit of a modern twist and lots of  locally sourced ingredients. The menu is littered with little gf's for us gluten free girls too! :)

I went for the pigeon special for starters and the most incredible belly pork for my main. There was a teeny bit of panic when our mains first arrived as there was a little less veggies than we would have hoped, but a quick word to the waitress and a bowl was brought straight over for us no bother. :)

Everyone else's food looked incredible and as much as I could I tried a bit of everything! Toms classic mules mariner was lovely and I had some serious food envy over my mums steak and ale pie!

Our evening was spent in lovely cosy surroundings, we had a table in the bar and the atmosphere was buzzing without being too nosy and busy. We drank lots of lovely red wines and a couple of cheeky G&T's, and spent the night chatting and giggling before heading out into the frosty night and hopping into our taxi.

Thank you for reading :)
