This week is the week before valentines day and as a completely hopeless romantic this is one of my favourite weeks. Single or coupled up I have always thrown myself right into the spirit of Valentines day! making cute gifts for boyfriends and friends and spreading the love as much as possible! :)
This year will be mine and Tom's second Valentines day and I am very very excited! We will be spending our weekend in Wales and Tom has promised to cook me something yummy so I am very excited! :)
This has been a big year for me and Tom and just this week we finally secured a years lease on our first home together...moving in by the end of the month! I have never been happier.
I have no doubt in my mind that me and Tom moving in together is 100% the right thing to do. We need to know if we can live with each other and not kill each other...always quite important!
I am not going to lie though, when it came to having the joint bank account discussion I had a very uncharacteristic (for me) 'freak-out'. I totally didn't see it coming but this isn't my first rodeo, I know that not every love story has a happy ending and I know how messy untangling two peoples lives can be, all of those emotions came rushing back and I was left feeling a little bit vulnerable.
After a day of soul searching I knew that it was absolutely the right thing to do for us! When it comes to love there are no guarantees. Nothing you do or don't do will ensure your future with someone. However holding yourself back from things or attempting to protect yourself is the only sure fire way to ensure your relationship fails.
Taking a giant leap of faith and jumping in feet first really is the only way to go when it comes to love and trust me it is so so worth it! :)
