Well my feet are blistered and ache, my body aches all over and I have been averaging 4 hours sleep a night for the past week! can only mean one thing..I'm back from my amazing city break to Amsterdam baby!
So now the challenge is to try and put all of the amazing things I did into a blog post! eeek!
Iv never been to Holland before so i was super excited to cross another country off my list! and i was not disappointed! Firstly I had no idea how lovely and short the flight was (just less than an hour!) perfect for a slightly nervous flyer like myself! Secondly I loved how amazingly friendly and helpful all of the dutch were! everyone we spoke to was happy and friendly and really helpful! makes such a massive difference when your out of your comfort zone in a different country! :)
Me and my friends have been planning this trip for a while and we chose to co-inside the trip with two of my friends 23rd birthdays! As with any group holiday we all had different agendas and things that we really wanted to see and do, since we were all new to Amsterdam. We decided that the best plan of action was to each pick an activity that we wanted to do and work our way through the list as best as we possibly could!
Amsterdam itself was beautiful, every street we walked down was picture perfect, with the traditional houses along the canal and row after row of bikes! ( a word of warning, be careful of bikes...they are everywhere! they come at your from every angle and its best to try and keep out of there way, they definitely own the road here!)
Because we packed so much in, iv decided to break this blog down into three days to do each day justice!
Day 1:
Our flight was at 5:50, so we stayed at my friends flat in Manchester ready for our 2 am wake up call! and caught the night bus to the airport with all the drunk people still on their nights out, which is always...fun!

By the time we arrives in Amsterdam it was about 10:30/11 and we decided to locate maps, find out hotel and drop our bags off before getting our bearings and going for a proper explore!

Our first stop was a lovely park, full of Sunday lunchtime runners and dog walkers! and then from there we accidentally ran into an 'I Am sterdam' perfect opportunity for a cheeky touristy photo or ten! and then we went to the Van Gough museum for a little bit of culture (15 euros each) ...i am a fan of Van Gough for many reasons, but the main (slightly obvious one) being the sunflowers, they are my favorite flowers so I love this picture! :)

Then it was back to the hotel room for some cheep Proseco...(when in Europe!) and out for some yummy Mexican food and a few drinks in a karaoke bar called Bulldog...all of this was about 10 minutes walk from our hotel in a lovely little square....Id like to point out that by this point we had been awake for well over 20 hours! So i think we did pretty well to still be on our feet! :)
