A Weekend In Wales-Part 3 (Ice-Cream and Mountains!)

Day 3 and we were woken up by yet another beautiful, sunny day. We had a lazy morning sorting out the cottage and eating the leftover pulled pork, before finally saying our good buys and heading off to Beddgellert, our last stop before heading home.

We had booked to have lunch at a lovely little restaurant called Hebog. Tom had emailed them to see if there were any gluten free options and they got back to him saying that they could adjust whatever i wanted from the menu to make it appropriate!

I went for the chicken korma with half and half...i love that in wales you can have chips and rice with curry, they were proper chips too! as the restaurant also has a fish and chip shop next door! Tom went for an absolutely massive burger, it looked delicious and both of us seriously regretted having such a big breakfast before leaving the house! Id defiantly recommend this place, its really reasonably priced, the food is all made from scratch and really really tasty. Great value for money and they went out of their way to provide a gluten free alternative!

Iv included a link to their site  here if you ever find yourself a bit peckish and in North Wales!

After lunch, fat and happy we went for a stroll by the side of the river, I'd been here in October and was excited to be back, especially as everything looked twice as lovely in the sunshine! Tom hadn't been for a few years so was a bit excited to see the new steam train go past!

The last stop was an amazing ice-cream parlor, something else that tom had been raving about, and again I was not disappointed. I had chocolate ice cream and caramel fudge and they were really amazing! Tom went for mint choc chip and creme caramel...i had to check that they were equally good, which they were! and we made plans to come back here and try four more flavors next time!

Before we went away Tom's mum and dad had given me an envelope, with stricked instructions not to open it until our trip home. we opened it in the car park just before leaving and on it were two lists. Things they thought we would definitely do and things that we might possibly do. We had done everything on the definitely list! so Tom was pretty pleased with himself and we decided that all the things on the other list would be our 'to-do-list' for the next trip! :)

We drove back through the mountains, trying to catch a glimpse of Snowden! Neither of us wanted to leave after another completely amazing weekend! :)

What did you get up to with your weekend?
