A Day of Celebrating in Leeds

On Monday my gorgeous boyfriend turns 23! And last week he may have also bagged himself a promotion! :) so to celebrate we went to Leeds for the day.

we started at Trinity kitchens. A food court with a bit of a twist. It has lots of permanent and amazing looking food stalls and every month they invite five different street food trucks to take up residence too! After a lot of deliberation we decided to go to Pho to try some amazing (and all available gluten free) Vietnamese food. It was pretty amazing!

You can have a look at it in more detail, here: Trinity Kitchens

Next we went to check out Belgrave music hall in Leeds northern quarter. It was pretty quiet but we enjoyed a rather strong cocktail before heading back to trinity for a little bit of shopping and some more drinks at the botanist. The botanist seems really nice and I loved the decoration...it looks like a very grand, slightly run down, Victorian potting shed. Very pretty and owned by the same company as my favourite Oast house in Manchester so I was happy.

After this we did a little bit more shopping before going for tea at Carluccios again...I just can't get enough of their gluten free menu! So much yummy pasta to choose from!

After tea it was time to go to The Alchemistanother cocktail bar in trinity. They are known for making very creative cocktails with a bit if a science-y twist. Iv been so excited to go for ages and I've heard so much about it. We chose two cocktails; the bubble bath, a lovely mellow drink that bubbles and smokes the whole time you drink it! :) and my personal favourite a chilli and lemon cocktail with a seriously spicy kick! I was very impressed and I cannot weight to go back there to try even more!

Our last stop of the day was Neon Cactus a lovely little Mexican bar on call lane. I have been once before and loved it. They do a seriously good cocktail called the Zombrero that includes at least 3 different tequilas! It's absolutely lovely and the atmosphere is great. Definitely one if my favourite places to visit in Leeds and next time I definitely want to try the food!

We eventually made it home..via a supermarket for more yummy snacks (hummus) before cracking open a bottle of Proseco for one last celebratory drink before collapsing into bed.

If anyone knows any other amazing places in Leeds id live to know!

Thank you for reading :)
