So this Sunday was Fathers day. And i may have mentioned briefly that my dad hasn't really been having the easiest year so far. So I wanted to make sure that we made fathers day a little bit more special.
In the end we all ended up going for an absolutely gorgeous curry, where we ate way too much curry and probably drank way too much wine, at the pink elephant in Meltham. (I've done a tiny little review of this place once before....you can find that Here!) It really is very good and if you live in the Huddersfield area I'd definitely recommend it! :)
When it comes to presents for my dad I tend to struggle a little bit, mainly because he gives nothing away, and anything he really really wants he usually ends up getting for himself anyways...eventually, or its way way out of my price range! It also happens to be his birthday in June and coming up with two original present ideas so close together can be really really challenging!
In the end I decided on a little DIY project. I bought a frame from Ikea and got some nice pictures of me, my sister, jack, tom and my mum all printed out. I then spent far too long getting them to sit and stay in the frame properly!
The frame is supposed to be for his office at work, to brighten his office up a little bit! However weather it actually makes it there or not is a slightly different story.
How did you spend your fathers day?
Thank you for reading
