World Cup Widow!?...No thanks! :)

So Thursday marked the start of the world cup in Brazil! I know this because somebody insisted on telling me how excited he was every five minutes from about 7am. I'm expecting this to stop some time around the 13th of July!

Saturday night was the first England match and I was invited along to watch it at the picturedrome in Holmfirth.(you can find out more about it Here ) This is an old cinema that has been reopened as a bar and gig venue. For all of England's World Cup matches they put up a big screen and invite 600 slightly drunk people to come and cheer on England!

I was told that I should definitely wear an England shirt...and luckily I was given plenty of choice! I'm really glad I did because besides looking the part  in the end as there was so much beer being thrown around that I was completely drenched within the first five minutes!

I'm not the worlds biggest football fan, but I have watched enough games over the last few years to understand what is happening and when I genuinely care who is winning I really do enjoy it! Especially when your surrounded by people and the atmosphere is really really good! :)

It's a shame about the result, but fingers crossed for Thursday when I'l be doing it all over again! :)
