This time next week I will be sat on a beach in Crete, with a cocktail in my hand, completely turned off from the rest of the world.
It has been a long summer waiting for my holiday to come around and hearing about everyone else's summer escapes. I really cannot wait to get away, I haven't been on a beach holiday in over 3 years and it is definitely exactly what the doctor ordered right now!
We fly super early on Saturday so Sunday was our very last chance to pick up all our holiday essentials! If we have forgotten anything now there is simply nothing we can do about it....and I'm pretty sure they have shops on holiday!! :)
Some more basic holiday essentials. I thought the longest and hardest about the products I should take for my hair. My hair is dry at the best of times, and the sun, salt-water and chlorine really take their toll. In the end I chose the Aussie beech mate shampoo and conditioner because I am obsessed with this shampoo, what it does to my hair and the way it smells! I also picked up a mark hill holiday hair cover up protection spray, fingers crossed they do the job!

I can't weight to sit down and read a book! I feel like it's something I never make time for any more and it's a shame because I love it so much. I confess I did panic quite a lot on the bookshop...I didn't have my glasses on and realised that I couldn't really see any of the titles properly..I had to enlist Tom for help. I then decided I didn't wan't anything too heavy for my week in the sun. In the end I chose the 3rd Bridget Jones because I loved reading the first two and I love everything about Bridget. For my second choice I went for 'What a girl wants by Lindsey Kelk', I read the first one on my holiday in Italy last year and although I didn't rate it that much it was light hearted and fun and I kind of feel like I should find out how it ends. |
I need moisturiser when I'm in the sun all day. I decided to treat myself to some of my very favourite white musk from body shop
