So this lovely bank holiday weekend I had lots of lovely plans to fully enjoy being better by eating and drinking way more than is advisable with some of my friends!
We went to Holmfirth for the day on Saturday and spent it drinking in the sun outside the old bridge. We then headed for food a Soul Kitchen.
I was really excited to go and eat here as i had heared quite a lot about it! it's a quirky little family run restaurant specializing in american soul food! :) even better than that is that most of their menu is Gluten Free!
After quite a lot of deliberation (I wanted two mains!) We all ordered different but equally yummy looking food! :)
It was a bit quiet when we went, and lacked a bit of atmosphere, then again we did decide to go at about 5 in the afternoon.
The bar downstairs also serves the same food as well as some amazing cocktails (Including a pretty spot-on Aperol Spritz!) so if you want it a bit livelier id definitely suggest eating downstairs!
I have to go back now and try the gluten free deep fried chicken! and everything else on the menu of course! :)
How did you spend your bank holiday weekend?

and i got to have my first proper burger in about 3 years....yeah i was pretty happy about it! Infact if im being honest i could have probably eaten two! :)
it's not fine dining, just good hearty food, I'd definitely recommend it if your looking for a good lunch, and of course if you are gluten free it's a must! :)
