Bad Hair Days (Problems With Problem Hair!)

I have notoriously very difficult hair...loved or hated by hairdressers all over Huddersfield for the last 23 years.

My hair is relatively thick...not only that but there is a lot of it! It is also neither really curly or anywhere near straight. I can blame my dad and my grandma for this who both rock super thick ridiculously curly hair! I didn't quite get all of it tho, instead I have ended up with loads of hairs distributed evenly throughout my head that look like very tiny corkscrews, This adds to the volume and the out of control waviness!

On top of all of that my hair is extremely porous, due to the damage it has sustained over the many years that I have been coloring it every colour under the sun! (including green) This means that as soon as it sees water is sucks it up like you wouldn't believe and holds onto it for as long as it possibly can...meaning drying it can take hours!

My hair routine now goes a little bit like this:

Wash it at night, never in the morning as there is not enough time! fill it full of argon oil (to prevent tangles and dryness) and bed head dumb blond to stop my highlights going too brassy, brush it through with a tangle teaser as best as I can and tie up in a bun. In the morning I then untie my hair and dry the rest of it off with a hairdryer. At this point I make the decision, if it is possible to tame the waviness enough to be able to wear it down or is it totally out of control and needs to be tied up again! ( I very very rarely straighten or curl my hair as I don't want to damage it further with heat)

I recently found a product that may be the answer to all of my problems. Loreal studio Matt and messy salt spray. I simply spray this onto my dry hair and scrunch in. It sort of makes the random waves and curls look like they are there on purpose and not just a completely random mess, it also adds to the volume in my hair. It takes about a minute to do witch makes me very happy and I can continue to apply it for a couple of days between washes, Brilliant! :)
