Friday night was a girls night in, with me my mum and my best friend getting slightly tipsy. One thing lead to another and we found our selves in the mood for a classic chickflick (this rarley ever happens thanks to boyfriends, fiances and husbands crys of dismay or downright refusal) We went for sliding doors which is absolutely amazing! If you haven't seen it you really really should!
After a couple of vodkas (we ran out of wine) we got all nostalgic about other classic chickflicks of our childhood (the 90's) and we came up with this list of the best classic chickflicks of all time (in our humble opinion)
1. Sliding Doors- I love this film! its so lovely and the twist in time gives you a little something to think about. Overall I love the message that if things are meant to happen they will happen :)
2. Notting Hill- the best bit about this film is julia roberts very famous quote 'im just a girl standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her' makes me go all mushy instantly.
3. Four Weddings and a Funeral- this film never fails to make me laugh...and cry. I loved it so much when I was little I memorised the famous poem 'stop all the clocks' I can still recite most of it by heart now...because im a looser.
4.you've got mail- this is the most lovely film. The bit where they are supposed to meet on top of the empire state building is so iconic, its what dreams are made of.
These are just my top picks and this is because I am a completley and utterly hopeless romantic.
let me know what youe favorite 90's films or chickflicks are!
Thank you for reading :)
