Home Sweet Home - Bargain Bottles

Ever since I was little and my mum bought home thousands of home décor magazines I have been completely in love with interior design. Most weekends you could find me literal waist deep in Ideal home, Good home or country living. Cutting out my favourite pictures and making them into mood-boards. At uni it was a serious dilem between my fashion degree and an interios design degree..in the end my love of clothes won out!

But I am still a complete interior obsessive! As soon as me and T moved into our lovely little flat I have been on a constant look out for lovely things to fill it with and I am so happy at the way it is turning out!

This weeks post is about our most recent purchase and one that I am still so over the moon about. A little while ago we were in Holmfirth indoor market and spotted an interesting looking stand full of glass bottles and other items. All of the bottles were really old and really local, with the names of local villages printed into them. They were mainly old beer and fizzy drinks bottles and I instantly wanted all of them!

Alarm bells instantly started ringing when I noticed that nothing had a price on. I told myself that they were all going to be far too expensive for us and we moved on.

Later in the day and itching to own a little bit of local history I went back to the stall, picked my favourite larger bottle came up with a £20 limit in my head and asked for a price. When I found out that everything there was between £1 and £2 I nearly begged T to go and fetch the car so we could fill up the boot! But in the end we agreed that three (sticking to the golden rule of 3!) would be enough.

I'm not sure if I have found the perfect spot for them yet but I like where they are for now, right by the front door so that I am reminded of what a brilliant little find they were every time I walk through the door!

Thank you for reading :)
